My Experience

Some career paths follow a simple trajectory. Then, there’s mine. I was a creative junkie from day one. After achieving considerable success as a published writer and fine art photographer, I transitioned into an executive role in the publishing industry. I spent a number of years in the print and online media industry before venturing into the world of real estate.

I’m a Guelph native, but life has taken me on a few twists and turns. I lived in the United States for nearly 10 years, and have travelled quite extensively. Some years ago, I returned home to plant roots and I have no regrets.

My Approach

I try very carefully to listen more than I speak. I work hard at being patient and making no assumptions. And I always – and I mean always – put my clients’ interests ahead of my own.

I like to think that I bring a heightened level of organization and preparedness to the profession. And, believing in the importance of continuing education, I have sought advanced accreditations for buyer representation, as well as a commitment to better understanding green building aspects, as they relate to buyers and sellers.

My Difference

Experience

  • I have worked extensively with Guelph real estate investors, both helping those purchasing investment property, and those divesting of their interests. This is knowledge I have gained over the course of many years. Serious investors don’t need to entrust their money with someone just learning how that part of the business works. ‘Nuff said.

Local

  • I am a certifiable “downtown’er” and I love to help people buy and sell historic homes. I live in a century cottage that I have converted from a forgotten house to a wonderful family home. With a few tears along the way, granted.

Humility

  • Finally, but most importantly, while I take this business very seriously, I try not to take myself too seriously. We can work together to negotiate favourable result for you, and still enjoy ourselves in the process. I help my clients make sound investment decisions, and we have a great time along the way.

On the personal side, I’m a risk taker. I’m a rider of motorcycles. I’m a champion for animal welfare. (Granted, I’m also a champion for wine and cheese.) I’m a mother. I’m committed to always giving more than I take. And that last bit, that’s the bit that really matters. #abundance
