It might seem that I have taken an unusual path to becoming a Realtor®. As a graduate of John Abbott College in Pure and Applied Sciences and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from Concordia University in Montreal, my career predictably started in corporate Canada, specifically in Sales and Marketing at IBM Canada. In that time, I learned a lot about professionalism and personal service. After 14 years of corporate life though, I felt compelled to start my own company. For the following 14 years as a corporate refugee, my company (InCourage) worked with organizations to build more effective teams and inspirational leaders. My favorite role at InCourage was coaching individuals to achieve their professional goals.
After developing my business acumen and entrepreneurial moxie in this time, I joined my talented wife Ruth in building her already-established real estate business in 2010, using my expertise as a strategic marketer, negotiator and coach to serve our clientele. So you see, it just took 28 years of very relevant experience to become the Realtor® I am.
When I’m not serving you as your Realtor®, I’m an active member of the Eden Mills community where Ruth and I live, by being President of the Eden Mills Community Club, an active volunteer for the Eden Mills Writers Festival and the Eden Mills Going Carbon Neutral Committee. I’m also an enthusiastic world traveller, wilderness tripper, photographer, bad tennis player and worse golfer.
PERSONAL. People/companies/brands you typically do business with are those that you can connect with at some level. We believe, in the end, people do business with people whose values align. A real estate transaction can be an emotional experience, it helps when you have someone in your corner that can empathize.

Our buyers want us to listen closely to their needs so we are showing the most relevant homes that match those needs. Since starting her real estate career, Ruth has been recognized starting in 2006 Ruth achieved a Sales Achievement Award. Since then and every year since Ruth has excelled with determined consistency and dedication to a business she loves. After her first year, she has always been in the top 10% within in the marketplace.

We also walk our talk by printing on FSC paper; driving hybrid cars and living in an uber-efficient straw-bale home. We owe it to our three daughters, and our wee little granddaughter.
