I have worked in Real Estate in Kitchener / Waterloo for over 10 years. I started my working life in Toronto selling Silicon Graphics advanced computing systems to animation studios all over Ontario, then pursued work as a freelance Non-linear editor for film and television. I eventually changed careers to work as an IT Manager for a firm on Bay st. in Toronto. It was at this point that my wife and I realized that Toronto wasn't where we wanted to raise a family, so we moved to Waterloo and I started working as a Realtor at Re/Max Twin City.
In my real estate career, I have worked extensively in resale, new home construction sales, and honed the negotiation skills that I use daily. I met Curt and Erin (then of Knight Realty) and decided that I wanted a smaller more-boutique style of firm matching my personality and one that would offer my clients what they truly needed from a real-estate transaction. Since then I'm proud of the move to Trillium West, a totally modern brokerage in a town that really needed one.
I have many other interests in addition to my work life. I am a four-time Maple Blues Award nominee for Male Vocalist of the Year and I have worked as a professional musician since I was 17 with 3 albums released with my band Soulstack (you can often see us play locally). I have toured extensively and seen some beautiful places, played to some amazing audiences and met many great people.
Additionally, I perform as a member of the Lulu's Roadhouse Band, which is always a blast! Keeping a balance of artistic pursuit in my life has always been the key to my sanity as a Realtor.
I also co-founded a company, which I have since sold, called AGS Environmental, (now Reitzel Environmental) which specializes in Asbestos, UFFI, Mould and Lead Paint abatement, so my experience in many of the hazards which we encounter dealing with older homes has been invaluable.
I live in Beechwood with my two little girls Stella (age 8) and Hazel (6) who make it wonderful to come home to, even if this business sometimes keeps me up late!

Having an extensive knowledge of asbestos, UFFI, and various other issues that arise in the sale of older homes, I feel that I am uniquely qualified in this particularly difficult area of sales.
In my representation of Buyers, in addition to my "act quickly" approach, I pride myself on pointing out the negative as well as the positive in a property, with a keen eye for both. This is in line with what I regard as one of the tenets of integrity, which I adhere strongly to.

- Having sold hundreds of homes over the years, I have encountered virtually every troublesome situation and have never had a transaction not close. My experience with new home sales has taught me a great deal about modern construction and my experience with old homes has taught me what to look for. My experience in the Canadian Armed Forces (ask me) has kept me cool under pressure.
