Several years later came Westminster Woods, the adjoining community. This 200 acre parcel was designed as a master planned community, and it shows. Comprised of town-homes, mid rise condos, smaller detached and large 60’ conservation lots Westminster Woods really does have it all.

Although primarily built out by two different homebuilders, what once was a noticeable divide between the two subdivisions has long since disappeared. The common connection is the many kilometres of green space pathways, equally popular with bikers, joggers, walkers and their dogs.

Convenience is the name of the game, with an abundance of new amenities surrounding the mixed density housing options. Grocery, restaurants, theatres, banking and a complete assortment of dining options are now available. From a library to a liquor store, a complete slate of shopping services is a short stroll away.

The true heartbeat of these two communities is their primary schools. Mini-vans and school busses fill the parking lots every school day and empty their cargo of kids into the schoolyards. After school, the younger generations pour into the surrounding playgrounds and parks.

With safe, walkable streets and sidewalks, some families feel like they have found their little slice of heaven in South Guelph. Tough to disagree.
