Welcome to Alpine - one of Kitchener’s smallest and most affordable neighbourhoods.

Alpine offers residents a picturesque view of post-war suburban homes on tree-lined streets. With a nearby forest that hugs the homes in the area, it provides a nice green space for the neighbourhood. Here you’ll find a variety of housing options for prospective residents, including single-family homes, townhouses, and apartments. The area features a mix of both older and newer homes, with many properties undergoing renovations to meet modern standards.

Alpine has a lot to offer. Conveniently located near the Laurentian Power Center and other shopping venues, it’s easy to meet all your shopping needs without the added travel and hassle. For outdoor enthusiasts, the neighbourhood is also just a short walk to McLennan Park, a former dump site that has been transformed into a mid-city mountain with views across the city. The park is home to a dog park, walking paths, a skate park, a splash pad, and more.

The neighbourhood is represented by The Alpine Village Community Association, who holds monthly meetings while working to enhance and promote the neighbourhood for its residents. The association aims to get the community involved by holding a variety of events such as a Food Drive and a “Best Decorated House” competition for Halloween.

Public school students can look forward to attending Alpine for JK-6 before moving on to Laurentian for grades 7 and 8. They will finally attend Cameron Heights for high school. Catholic students will attend Our Lady of Grace prior to attending St. Mary’s for high school.

Whether you're looking for a starter home, a spacious family dwelling, or a low-maintenance condo, the Alpine neighbourhood has something for everyone. With its attractive housing options, beautiful surroundings, and convenient location, it's no wonder that Alpine is a sought-after community for homebuyers and renters alike.
