It’s pretty simple - in the world of new construction, there’s plenty to know and to navigate. Wouldn't you want an experienced agent on your side to ensure you're not missing out on opportunities to get the best possible price and terms for yourself? Pre-construction (or new construction) can mean different things to different people. It can mean anything from purchasing a brand new townhome that you can move into next week to buying a condo on the 45th floor of a proposed building that still hasn’t got city approval and may not be move-in ready for 5-7 years.
Access to information on projects isn't always readily available - most projects are sold off the MLS system. That, and usually the most sought-after projects are sold before they get to the general public so it’s important to establish a relationship with an agent who specializes in pre-construction.
