Columbia Forest is a popular and diverse family neighbourhood on the west side of Waterloo.
Established in the early 2000s, this area is made up of a mix of condos, townhouses, as well as semi and single-detached homes. While most homes in the neighbourhood are large 2-storey homes, you’ll also find many executive properties. Many of these homes back onto greenspace, making it a favourable location for those looking to have some privacy.
Known for its large designated greenspace, Columbia Forest offers residents acres and acres of woodland and hiking trails. Its close proximity to Laurel Creek Conservation Area allows for even more opportunities to spend time outdoors. This area is also known for having great access to many amenities, including grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, Costco and The Boardwalk.
Public School children in the area would attend Abraham Erb School for JK-6 or Vista Hills for JK-8. Some students from Columbia Forest would be bussed to Edna Staebler Public School in Clair Hills, which offers students a French immersion option. Public school students would then move on to Laurel Heights Secondary School to continue their high school education. Catholic students of Columbia Forest will attend St. Nicholas Catholic School, until they reach high school, when they will be bussed to Resurrection Catholic Secondary School.
