Therefore, it was a natural decision to take a giant step and become a business owner in the region. When it came time to attend University, I opted to stay local and attend Wilfred Laurier and graduated with a Degree in Psychology. During my time at Laurier, my parents purchased and renovated a home for myself and friends to live in while attending school which I helped manage. Once we graduated and moved out my parents sold the home and made a tidy profit. This is what prompted me to first become interested in a career in real estate.
While getting my license I worked for a local property management company and learned a lot about the rental housing market, leasing, and the Landlord Tenant Act. This information has been extremely valuable when managing both my own investment properties and assisting clients with their investments.
Selling real estate has been very rewarding for me and has now provided me the opportunity to help others find their way to a rewarding career in real estate. By taking on a management role with TrilliumWest, I hope to help others find their full potential as a Realtor®.
My approach involves getting to know my clients on a personal level, listening to their concerns and needs when it comes to their sale or purchase. Being approachable, knowledgeable, and trust worthy are things I pride myself on as both a Realtor® and as a Manager. I plan on educating agents the same way I have my valued clients over the last 10 years as a Realtor® by sharing real life experiences and the right way to treat clients with a no pressure approach.
I aim to be as personable as possible with everyone I meet, be it client or fellow agent. I pride myself on being approachable and a great listener. We sometimes deal with sensitive situations and knowing how to navigate these situations is vital.
Born and raised in Waterloo Region, I’ve seen the many changes experienced throughout the cities. Couple that with 10 years’ experience as a Realtor® building my client base, it has provided me with true local experience that I can now pass along to the next amazing group of real estate agents that will join us here at TrilliumWest.
Having a family has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me. Spending time with my sons are some of my most valuable memories. As I take a leadership role at the Kitchener office, I look forward to help create valuable memories with our agents and provide them with guidance and mentorship.
