The Township of Woolwich has always been my home – not just by birth, but by choice.
Though I lived in Kitchener for over a decade, when I saw the opportunity to move back into my childhood home, I knew that there was no match for the peace, tranquillity, and comfort I had grown up around. Growing up in a place you truly love is lucky – choosing to return, renovate a house, raise a family, pursue my passion, and build a life surrounded by family and friends in that same township is a privilege.
Over the years, I have had the pleasure of expanding my knowledge and working in a variety of fields, and I often reflect on how these experiences have contributed to my skills as a realtor. I first got my start in the Hospitality industry, which taught me many skills I still carry with me to this day – flexibility, personability, and the importance of having a good sense of humour! I then moved on to Conestoga College where I graduated, with Honours, as an Early Childhood Educator in 2002 and began to work with preschoolers at a prominent local Childcare Centre. Through this work, I learned the importance of time management, patience, and building trust in relationships – all of which have infinitely contributed to my success as a Realtor. I then took a break from the field to work in the home improvement industry, focusing on my expertise in kitchen design, flooring, installs and design consultations. I was recognized for outstanding customer service and dedication to exceeding customer expectations on multiple occasions. The skills I learned in home improvement have been instrumental not only in renovating my own homes but also in knowing what to look for in homes for my prospective clients.
After having my son, I decided to get back into education and joined the WRDSB as an Early Childhood Educator in Kindergarten. I was fortunate to meet so many amazing kids and families in my 6 years with the School Board, however I felt that something was missing and began searching for a career where I felt I could truly flourish. I valued having the flexibility to make time for my family, as well as having a healthy work/life balance to pursue my passion for health, fitness and movement. I trusted that my efficient, hard-working, and reliable nature would allow me to build trusting and genuine connections with clients. I dreamed of being in complete control of my own success and, most importantly, I wanted to be my own boss. Enter, my career in Real Estate.
